Penny is as playful as she is graceful. She always finds a way to entertain herself—whether she’s taking an afternoon swim, gently herding her goat “friends,” or tossing her favorite toy high in the air just to catch it again. Her endless curiosity and lively spirit make her a constant source of fun and affection.

Despite her energy, Penny is an incredibly loving and loyal companion. She enjoys rides around the farm, running alongside us in the fields, and spending time with our grandchildren. Her gentle temperament and steady nature make her a wonderful family dog with a disposition we deeply value.

In the field, Penny is impressive. She displays remarkable speed, style, and intensity in her work. She points and retrieves beautifully and consistently honors the points of her hunting partners when it’s not her bird—showing both instinct and discipline.

Early in her development, Penny attended a professional hunting dog summer program in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where she gained exposure to hunt training and even participated briefly in horseback field trials. In that short time, she developed a clear enthusiasm and strong natural ability that we plan to continue cultivating through NAVHDA participation this coming year.

At home, Penny is calm and content—but she is always ready for the next adventure. She embodies the best qualities of the Wirehaired Vizsla: a devoted family companion, a capable working dog, and a joyful, affectionate presence in our everyday life.
